Wilhelm Wundt opens the first psychology lab, focusing on breaking consciousness into basic elements.


2️⃣ 🔍 1890 – Functionalism

William James emphasizes the purpose of mental processes and how they help us adapt to the environment.


3️⃣ 🫣 1900 – Psychoanalysis

Sigmund Freud explores the unconscious mind, highlighting childhood experiences and inner conflicts.


4️⃣ 🧪 1913 – Behaviorism

John B. Watson focuses on observable behavior, stating it’s the only valid data for psychology.


5️⃣ 👀 1920s – Gestalt Psychology

German psychologists stress that we perceive the whole experience, not just individual parts.


6️⃣ ❤️ 1950s – Humanistic Psychology

Carl Rogers & Abraham Maslow promote free will, self-actualization, and the search for meaning.
